Carpetright boss: 'That's not protesting, that's thieving'

More than 100 people were arrested and 35 police officers injured in two nights of rioting and looting in Tottenham, Enfield, Walthamstow and Brixton over the weekend.

In Tottenham a local landmark, the Carpetright store and the flats above it, were gutted by fires.

The Conservative Peer Lord Harris of Peckham is the founder and chief executive of Carpetright and also funds six Academy schools in London.

He spoke to Radio 4's World at One about what he thought lay behind the riots.
