Boris: Supercop will agree that London needs more police

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has told the BBC that while he thinks it is a "good idea" for David Cameron to seek Bill Bratton's advice, its value should not be overstated.

The president of the Association of Chief Police Officers, Sir Hugh Orde has criticised the decision by David Cameron to consult a former American police chief on dealing with street gangs and rioting.
