Peak time for UK lifeguards as holidaymakers flock to the coast

It is the busiest time of year for the rescue services in Cornwall as thousands of holidaymakers who are not used to sea conditions, flock to the county.

More than 900 lifeguards have been employed this year by the RNLI, but the service can be costly to maintain.
