Are rickshaws a danger on UK roads?

Traditional rickshaws have long been a familiar sight on the streets of Asia and now cycle rickshaws are also commonplace on the streets of some UK cities.

But road safety charities have concerns about how safe the vehicles are and are calling for regulations to be put into place to protect road users, pedestrians and passengers.
