SAS veterans' wartime accounts

The SAS was created 70 years ago as a secret unit to fight deep behind enemy lines.

Unknown to most of the veterans a regimental diary was kept describing their wartime exploits.

Now the existence of the diary has been revealed for the first time and the BBC has been given unprecedented access to its wartime accounts of those first SAS troopers.

They describe their part in the campaign in Italy.
