Kelvin MacKenzie: 'We don't need Leveson inquiry'
Former editor of The Sun, Kelvin MacKenzie, has questioned the need for an inquiry into the phone-hacking scandal.
Mr MacKenzie said that numerous laws already covered any criminal acts that employees of the News of the World may have performed, and an investigation into the culture, practices and ethics of the press was unnecessary.
He made the comments during a seminar on press regulation held ahead of the start of Lord Justice Leveson's inquiry on phone hacking, in which he was asked to address a number of questions.
