Marathon runner Fauja Singh, 100, reveals secrets

Fauja Singh, who is 100-years-old and the world's oldest marathon runner, says raising money for charity gives him the motivation to run.

Translator and coach Harmandar Singh told BBC News that Mr Singh took up running 11 years ago after his wife and son died.

Born in India in 1911, Mr Singh was a farmer in the Punjab but moved to Britain in the 1960s.

He ran the 2011 Toronto Waterfront Marathon in eight hours, 25 minutes and 16 seconds.
