Budget cuts mean fewer drugs and gun seizures, says union

Customs officials have told Radio 5 live that it is getting harder to stop drugs, weapons and other illegal goods entering the UK.

The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCSU) says budget cuts and a greater emphasis on controlling immigration means fewer bags and vehicles are being searched.

Paul O'Connor from the PCSU told Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire about the problem. The UK Border Agency rejects the claims.
