Alcohol pricing bill is reintroduced in Scotland

Scotland has taken a major step towards becoming the first country in Europe to introduce a minimum price per unit for alcohol in an effort to reduce drinking-related problems.

The Scottish National Party has said Scotland's drinking culture is causing severe health and social problems.

They hope minimum pricing will force down consumption, and lead to fewer hospital admissions and less crime.

The BBC's Lorna Gordon reports.
