Public sector pensions: We are negotiating in good faith, says Alexander
Members of the biggest public sector union, Unison, have voted to strike in the bitter dispute about changes to their pensions.
They will join teachers, civil servants and other workers in a mass walkout at the end of the month.
Unison said 245,000 members voted for industrial action, with 70,000 against.
Danny Alexander, the chief secretary to the Treasury, said the government was negotiating in ''good faith'' and had made a "good, new offer" of improved pension conditions.
