PCS Union General Secretary urges government negotiation
The General Secretary of the PCS Union, Mark Serwotka, has urged the government to '"get around the negotiating table" in order to prevent the planned public sector strikes from going ahead on Wednesday.
Around two million public sector workers, including head teachers and NHS staff, are due to take part in strike action because of plans to change their pensions.
Mark Serwotka denied the government's claim that its improved offer was a generous one.
