Strikes: Ed Balls urges government and unions to negotiate

Labour has again called on the government to negotiate with trade unions over their demands for public sector pensions, in order to avoid Wednesday's planned strike.

Up to two million people are set to take part in the mass walkout, including teachers, health workers and immigration staff.

Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls said both sides needed to give ground.
