'Russian spy' Katia Zatuliveter wins fight to stay in UK

A former parliamentary aide accused of spying for Russia has said she is "very happy" after it was ruled she should not be deported from the UK.

Katia Zatuliveter, 26, had worked for, and been in a relationship with, Liberal Democrat MP Mike Hancock.

The Special Immigration Appeals Commission has said it did not believe she had been passing information to Moscow.

Ms Zatuliveter's solicitor, Tessa Gregory, added that the security services had built their case against ''an innocent woman'' on ''speculation, prejudice and conjecture''.
