Leveson Inquiry: Murdoch 'was briefed on hacking'

The former legal manager of the News of the World has said he told James Murdoch there was "direct and hard evidence" that phone hacking at the paper extended beyond a single reporter.

Tom Crone told the Leveson Inquiry into press ethics that he showed the News International chairman a printout of a key email at a meeting three years ago.
