Dowler family 'upset' over Daily Mail phone call

The solicitor who represents the family of Milly Dowler says he has been contacted by a Daily Mail reporter who asked whether the family intended to return the £2m in damages to News International.

It comes after the police revealed that they had "no evidence" anyone connected with the News of the World deleted voicemail messages from her phone.

Mark Lewis said the family were very upset and added: "There is no question that the News of the World hacked Milly Dowler's phone."
