Kelvin MacKenzie at Leveson: Sun had 'no regard for privacy'
Former Sun newspaper editor Kelvin MacKenzie has been giving evidence to the Leveson Inquiry into media ethics.
Mr MacKenzie - who was Sun editor from 1981 until 1994 - admitted the tabloid did ''not really'' have a regard for issues such as privacy.
He was asked by Robert Jay QC whether he stood by his approach to checking a story: "If it sounded right, it was probably right, and therefore we should lob it in."
