Current rail system 'is embarrassing'

The controversial new high-speed rail line between London and Birmingham has been given the go-ahead by the government.

The first phase of the project would cut London-Birmingham journey times, on 225mph trains, to 49 minutes.

The BBC's Anthony Bartram spoke to businessman Steve Brittan, who says he is currently embarrassed by Britain's railways and that HS2 cannot come soon enough.
