Benefits claimant describes being treated as a scrounger

The Welfare Secretary Iain Duncan Smith insists that no-one will be made homeless by the government's Welfare Bill.

Senior bishops and peers are trying to force a rethink in the House of Lords on plans to cap each household's benefits at £26,000 a year.

The plans would apply in England, Scotland and Wales.

Darryl, 46, from London, told Radio 5 live's Stephen Nolan that being on benefits is not a luxury and that if he was in prison, people would have more respect for him.
