Bishop of Leicester: Benefits cap 'bad for children'

Church of England bishops will try to win concessions when the House of Lords votes on a benefits cap on Monday.

The Right Reverend Tim Stevens, the Bishop of Leicester, told the BBC he feared the proposed cap would discriminate against children from poorer families.

He said wanted to see the Child Benefit taken out of the calculation for the cap.
