Snow predicted for much of Britain

Many parts of the UK are expected to see heavy snow on Saturday, bringing disruption to roads and rail.

The Met office has issued weather warnings for central and eastern England, and southern and central Scotland.

The charity Crisis says frostbite and pneumonia are serious risks for those without shelter as temperatures plummet.
