Abu Qatada to be freed on bail within days

The extremist Muslim cleric Abu Qatada is due to be released on bail in the next few days.

Qatada is described as a threat to national security and he is currently being held at a high security prison in Worcestshire.

The decision to release him, under strict conditions, comes after his successful human rights appeal against deportation to his native Jordan.
