David Cameron: Thoughts with Colvin family

The prime minister has said that the death of Marie Colvin in Syria is "a desperately sad reminder of the risks that journalists take to inform the world of what is happening".

David Cameron's comments came after it emerged that the highly respected American Sunday Times reporter had been killed in the city of Homs.

Remi Ochlik, an award-winning French photographer, and several other people were also killed when shells hit a makeshift media centre in the Baba Amr district.
