Fuel strike threat: How ministers' advice has changed

The government has been criticised for giving confusing messages to motorists on how to prepare for a fuel strike.

First, Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude suggested drivers could store some fuel in their garages. Attempts to clarify this advice were then made by Roads Minister Mike Penning, Prime Minister David Cameron and Energy Secretary Ed Davey.
