Fuel hikes as panic buying subsides

Talks to avert a fuel strike by tanker drivers are to start on Wednesday.

The announcement came as the latest figures showed that last week's panic-buying has subsided but some independent petrol stations are still reporting shortages.

Some motorists are still complaining about price rises at the pumps.
