Environment Agency flood warnings as downpours continue

The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings, with downpours forecast for much of England and Wales over the weekend and next week.

Environment Agency flood risk manager Alison Baptiste, said long persistent rain was needed to ease the drought.

She said: "Two years worth of drought won't be wiped out by just two or three weeks of rain".
