Flood alerts for England and Wales remain in place

Strong winds and heavy rain have brought down trees and power lines across England and Wales, with warnings of more heavy rain to come.

The UK has had its wettest April in over a century, with some areas seeing three times their usual average rainfall, according to figures from the Met Office.

Jon Kay reports from one of the areas affected, Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, which was devastated by flooding five years ago.
