Eurozone must 'make up or break up', says PM

David Cameron has said he will do whatever is necessary to protect the country and secure the economy and financial system whatever the fate of the eurozone.

In a speech to business leaders in Manchester, the PM said the euro area was now at a "crossroads", and must either "make up", or face "a potential break-up".

Labour says the recession is the coalition's fault, however the PM insisted the UK was on the right economic course.
