Olympic torch: Relay visits Much Wenlock in Shropshire

The Olympic torch relay has visited Much Wenlock, the Shropshire town which is written into the annals of Olympic Games history.

It's the birthplace of Dr William Penny Brookes, who founded the Wenlock Olympian Society, external.

The first "Wenlock Olympian Games" were held there in 1850 and became the forerunner of the modern Olympic Games.
