Cameron: Jubilee celebrations show 'best of Britain'

The prime minister has praised the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, saying they showcased the 'best of Britain'.

He told the BBC's Fiona Bruce that crowds who had turned out to see the celebrations at Buckingham Palace reminded him of the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, when he camped out on The Mall.

He added that the Queen's knowledge and experience as well as her 'good old fashioned common sense' was pretty hard to beat.
