Gordon Brown: 'Presented with 'fait accompli' over son's cystic fibrosis in Sun

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has been giving evidence to the Leveson Inquiry into press standards.

Robert Jay QC asked Mr Brown about the publication of the story in the Sun newspaper about his son's cystic fibrosis.

Mr Brown said he and his wife were faced with a 'fait accompli' and could not accept as a parent the claim that he and his wife gave "explicit permission" for his son's medical condition to be broadcast.
