Olympic security: G4S failed to deliver, says Theresa May

Home Secretary Theresa May has rejected criticism of the government's handling of the G4S Olympic security shortfall.

Addressing the Commons, Ms May said it was only discovered on Wednesday - 16 days before the Games begin - that the contractor did not have enough trained security staff.

It comes after the news 3,500 extra servicemen would be needed for security duties.
