MP wants to help milk farmers get fairer contracts

The farming minister, Jim Paice, has suggested a new code of conduct to make sure farmers get a fair price for their milk.

Dairy farmers have said they will continue protests over recent reductions in the wholesale milk price after hundreds blockaded processing plants in Leeds, Leicestershire and Somerset on Thursday night.

Mr Paice told 5 live Breakfast that milk processors and dairy farmers needed to work together.
