Mia Rathband: Olympic torch honour was for my dad

The daughter of the late police officer David Rathband says she decided to wear a blindfold only a short time before she took his place on the Olympic torch relay.

Mia Rathband, 14, recalls her moment with the torch on 16 June in Britain's Olympic Torch Story to be broadcast on BBC One at 19:30 BST on Wednesday.

The programme hears from other torchbearers including Ben Parkinson, considered to be the most seriously-wounded soldier to survive the war in Afghanistan.

Memorable moments include the torch zip-wiring across the Tyne Bridge, climbing Mount Snowdon, being part of a marriage proposal and dancing in the ballroom at Blackpool.
