Prisoner art on display in London

Britain's biggest exhibition of prisoner art has opened in London.

It is organised by the Koestler Trust which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Trust presents annual art prizes for works created by British prisoners.

The UK is the only country in the world to have a national prison art award and it is hoped that the initiative will help to lower levels of re-offending.
