Battle of Britain pilot William Walker dies aged 99

Tributes have been paid to the oldest surviving Battle of Britain pilot who has died aged 99.

Flight Lt William Walker of 616 Squadron joined the RAF in 1938 and survived being shot down in his Spitfire in 1940.

He died in hospital on Sunday following a stroke.
