Betty Yates family: 'Loss remains raw and will continue'

A homeless drifter who murdered Reverend John Suddards and retired teacher Betty Yates, has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Mrs Yates's daughter Hazel Costello and son David Yates made a statement outside court.

Hazel Costello said it was important their mother was not defined by the brutality of her death but celebrated for the 77 years of her life.
