Heavy rain causes flooding misery for drivers

Twenty fours of heavy rain has brought flooding and travel disruption to many parts of England and Wales and the Met Office is warning that there is worse to come.

In Hampshire, people have had to be rescued from their vehicles and trains services have been disrupted or cancelled.

The Environment Agency has issued 214 flood alerts and more than 50 flood warnings around the UK.
