Afghanistan: David Cameron praises UK troops' success
British troops efforts in Afghanistan have been a success but they have paid a "high price", David Cameron has said.
The prime minister was speaking on a pre-Christmas visit to UK troops in the country.
Troop numbers will nearly halve to 5,200 in 2013, he announced this week.
The BBC's James Landale asked him why only some of the UK's troops would be returning home.
