Alfie Fripp, longest-serving British PoW, dies aged 98
Alfie Fripp, one of the longest-serving British prisoners of war during World War II, has died at the age of 98.
Squadron Leader Fripp was shot down six weeks into the war, spending the rest of the campaign in 12 different PoW camps across Germany, including Stalag Luft III.
