HMV: 'Retailers need help', says Labour

Music and DVD chain HMV is to appoint an administrator, putting about 4,350 jobs at risk.

The shadow business secretary, Chuka Umunna MP, says that temporarily reducing VAT could help struggling retailers.

He also says that there needs to be a level playing field for retailers operating online and on the high street.
