The man behind films including Slumdog Millionaire, 127 hours and The Full Monty is writing a screenplay about Lord Coe and Steve Ovett.

Based on the book The Perfect Distance by Pat Butcher, it will tell the story of the pair's rivalry, which came to a head at the Moscow Olympics in 1980.

Simon Beaufoy spoke to BBC Radio 5 live.
