British Retail Consortium: Test to restore confidence

Retailers and trade bodies have been talking to Environment Secretary Owen Paterson about the horsemeat scandal and how to restore consumer confidence.

Downing Street said it was "the responsibility of the retailers and the meat industry" to rebuild trust.

Helen Dickinson from the British Retail Consortium, who was at the meeting with Owen Paterson told the BBC there was agreement to keep the increased level of testing ongoing so consumers can be confident.
