Lottery winner on how he lost £1.8m in financial crash

Lottery winner Roger Griffiths became rich overnight when he won just over £1.8m in 2005.

However, he then lost it all when the financial crisis hit the UK and struggled to pay his bills after a series of failed business and property ventures.

Roger Griffiths told BBC Radio 5 live's Tony Livesey, "bricks and mortar seemed to be a sensible investment, it wasn't all splurge splurge on trainers and jewellery".
