Queen in Oxford for Maundy service

The Queen fulfilled her regular Maundy Thursday duty of distributing money to elderly people at a service in Oxford.

It was only the second time the Queen has been seen in public since her illness with gastro-enteritis symptoms. She was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh at Christ Church cathedral where she gave the red and white purses to 87 elderly people - one for each year of her life.
