BBC correspondent’s 'list for living'

When the novelist Iain Banks announced this week that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer he said he planned to spend his remaining time visiting places that meant a lot to him - and getting married. The concept of the "bucket list" - things to do before you die - is a familiar one to BBC correspondent Helen Fawkes. Aged 41 she faces a similarly grim diagnosis, but she's surprisingly upbeat about it.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Saturday 6 April 2013.
