London Marathon: 'Show should go on'

London Marathon's race director Hugh Brasher has defended the decision to hold the race following the Boston bombings.

He said that, after Boston, "a full security review has taken place and absolutely everyone was adamant that the show should go on".

The race started amid increased police presence with runners are wearing black ribbons to remember the Boston bombings' victims
