Harman: 'Labour not inconsistent' on economy

Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman has confirmed there would be a temporary increase in borrowing to fund her party's planned cut in VAT.

In an interview with the Today programme she said "I don't accept that we've have been inconsistent in our messages".

"Over and over we have said that the government has cut too far and too fast"
