German Dornier 17 bomber salvage: Diver interview

Work has begun to raise the only surviving German World War II Dornier 17 bomber from its watery grave at Goodwin Sands, off the Kent coast.

The aircraft has been lying in 50ft of water in the English Channel since being shot down more than 70 years ago during the Battle of Britain.

The BBC's Nick Higham in on board with the salvage team, and spoke to one of the divers as he worked to clear debris from the wreckage.

Joe Prill said there were "very few obstructions" to placing a frame around the aircraft, which the team hopes will allow them to lift it to the surface.
