Andrew Simpson death: 'It's hard to believe he's gone'

The chief executive of the America's Cup has paid tribute to a "very good friend" and a "larger than life character" following the death of sailor Andrew Simpson in a training accident.

The double Olympic medallist was one of an 11-man crew on board the Artemis Racing catamaran when it capsized in San Francisco Bay on Thursday.

Speaking at a press conference, Iain Murray, Regatta Director for the 34th America's Cup, said Andrew was "used to doing everything in life to the fullest and to the highest level he could".
