Child sexual abuse orders failing to deliver, says Ceop

The system of civil court orders designed to prevent sexual abuse of children in Britain is "not fit for purpose", according to a report obtained by the BBC.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (Ceop), which commissioned the report, said it received almost 19,000 reports of sexual abuse and exploitation in the last year - a record number.

The review said the system of Civil Prevention Orders was "failing to deliver" the quality of protection children deserved against sexual abuse.
